From the very first moment that we approached Lucy to book she went beyond expectations in ensuring that absolutely everything went smoothly. From arranging good quality Catering, marquee and the fabulous Chris to look after the electrics and the event, everything was faultless.

We booked for a charity event for 500 people and Lucy came up trumps repeatedly. When our star fairground ride could not arrive, Lucy found us an alternate supplier with only a few days to go. When we couldn’t bring the posts for separating off areas, Lucy arranged them. There were too many helpful things to list but suffice it to say that this truly was a case of nothing seemed to be too much trouble.

The venue is perfect for such an event with a pleasant backdrop of fishing lakes and plentiful space even for a large group such as ours. But is also clear is that a smaller more intimate group would work equally well.

This is a fabulous service from a truly pleasant host who knows exactly how to make sure that everybody has a wonderful time.

We had a corporate event at Alcott as an end of year conference. Lucy was such an amazing help throughout the whole process and was always on hand to put our minds at ease! She recommended some brilliant suppliers who helped to put together an incredible event! Our staff all loved it and it provided such a great atmosphere for everything to relax and have a good time.

Alcott is a lovely venue for a festival vibe events. We hosted 3 corporate summer festivals here and each year our employees loved it.

We had a corporate event at Alcott this weekend and I cannot recommend Lucy highly enough. The venue is just beautiful and Lucy was such an angel throughout the whole process, she was always available for a chat and she recommended the most amazing vendors to help make our day a hit with everyone. We also stayed at the Alcott bed and breakfast which was just brilliant, we were looked after like family and we had some great food in such a lovely location. Have recently held our daughters 21st birthday party here. Lucy could not do enough for us, so professional, friendly and fun to work with. The weather was against us and Lucy and the Events Management Team did everything to ensure it ran as smoothly as possible. Definitely recommend this venue!!

Cannot recommend Alcott Weddings and Events enough after holding our corporate family and friend’s day here. From the moment we visited the stunning spot we knew it would be a fantastic place for our event. We held our company staff and family event at Alcott Weddings this summer. From the very beginning when I first spoke with Lucy I knew it was going to be brilliant. She couldn’t help enough and although we were doing something a bit different, the scale didn’t faze her at all.

Lucy and Alcott are a dream!

When my husband and I started planning our wedding, I was adamant I didn’t want the faff of a DIY wedding in a field. That plan went out of the window when we found Alcott and met Lucy! We’d almost put a deposit on somewhere else, but left our visit to Alcott knowing this was where we had to get married.

It’s a true family affair; this is a special place to Lucy and her family and that was reflected in the care and love that was put into the venue and our wedding.

Lucy is a wealth of knowledge. Every vendor she recommended was brilliant, high quality and excellent value (no quotes could compare!).

Alcott is brilliant situated; easy to get to but feeling private and secluded. The fishing ponds looked beautiful on the photos. The space is huge; we had a 5 hat tipi with space for an huge outdoor ceremony, flags, hay bales and picnic benches, loads of garden games, a bouncy castle and glamping, and still space for an impromptu family Olympics.

Lucy was on hand the whole way through. She went above and beyond to make our day so special. She’s professional and efficient but still feels like she’s your friend. After spending the last 18 months chatting constantly, I’m going to miss having her in our lives. We need another excuse for a party!! I also want to give an honourable mention to mom Jane and the gorgeous dogs!

We were told by so many people that ours was the best wedding they’d been to. I’m inclined to agree :). That would not have been possible without Lucy and Alcott.

Myself and Rhys would like to thank Lucy and the whole team at Alcott for helping us create the most amazing wedding we could of wished for! We had an incredible day from start to finish and all of the suppliers were absolutely fabulous, making the day run smoothly and allowing us to relax, have fun and enjoy every moment. Working together to plan my wedding was so much fun, she made the process completely stress free and was always on hand for questions and suggestions. The venue is absolutely stunning, beautiful country side and horses make for the perfect back drop for photos and I can attest to the excellent drainage system - we had buckets and buckets of rain and the fields remained flood free!! Don't let the English weather put you off booking Alcott Farm, you'll have the best day rain or shine, I really can't recommend it enough.

I really can’t put into words how amazing the venue is , Lucy you made are dream wedding come true, you guided us from day 1 of the booking which was 2 years ago up to the day of our wedding, there wasn’t a thing to big or to small for you to handle.

Alcott Farm was a brilliant place to host our wedding reception. Tipi’s were brilliant set a great mood for the day.
Lucy (manager) was accommodating throughout and pointed us in the direction of a number of companies to help make our day special at the farm.
Each company had worked at the farm previously and knew how each of them worked which made the day work as a whole. Chris the events managers was really good leading up to big day and Nick helped out on the day with guiding catering and DJ and Games people when needed. Absolute star.
Skyline catering were brilliant and delivered top notch food.

A beautiful gorgeous country venue on a lake with options to have your desired structure. Lucy is absolutely delightful to organise with.
Lucy has been amazing throughout the whole pandemic. She was extremely understanding and allowed us to move our date not just once but also twice, without an extra price incurrence. She also helped liaise with her recommended suppliers to rearrange our date.
She was there to offer advice and help me to make decisions and I have never met anyone who answers emails so quickly, which shows she is extremely reliable.
3 days before, I found out my bar hadn't applied for a license (to enable a cash bar for after our tab had ran out). I then found out that Lucy had already applied for a TENS license- she is super organised and knowledgeable about weddings.
On the days leading up to the wedding, she popped in to check we were okay decorating the tipi and that we were happy with the layout etc.
We had a whole smores stand which our events manager (who comes included with Lucy's venue) realised wasn't compatible with the indoor gas firepit, but he immediately called Lucy, who jumped to our rescue and very kindly lent her outdoor firepit so our guests could have smores! We were very touched by her generosity.
The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, overlooking the lake and the crop field- I cannot wait for our pictures to come back! We love the countryside and it was important that our wedding reflected this, along with it being easily accessible from the motorway. Even the drive up to it was gorgeous with lanes lined with cows parsley.
Lastly, Lucy is extremely approachable and makes you feel very calm and at ease. Getting to know her (+ her dogs & Sophie!) the past 3 years has been lovely and I will really miss speaking with her and hopefully find another excuse to work with her again!

We had our wedding at Alcott in May 2022. The location is beautiful but what made it for us was that Lucy, Chris and all the team were absolutely brilliant. They were cheerful, helpful, super organised and all round good eggs. I can't recommend them enough, if you're looking for an outdoor wedding this is the place! Lucy also has all the contacts/recommend suppliers you could ever need!

Lucy; Back to work today and finally now the dust has settled I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you so much for everything. From setting us up with brilliant suppliers, the stress of re-jigging everything last year, to the smooth handling of everything in time for Saturday our wedding journey with you has been brilliant. I know we were firing off a lot of emails earlier this week but I don't think I've said a proper thank you. Lewis and I had a wonderful time and I know all the guests did too!

We had our wedding night here on the 31st July 2021 and we couldn't ask for a better venue really nice people they really can't do enough for you they make you feel welcome like your apart of there family, it has amazing views of horses and sheep would really highly recommend having your wedding here.

I would like to thank Lucy who took care of us with our venue couldn't ask for a better wedding planner her mom and dad are just amazing they make you feel really welcome and will do anything for you they really do go out there way for you and the lodge they have is amazing all the rooms are clean and tidy and really nice defiantly a 5star place and breakfast is beautiful.

We had our wedding at Alcott in July and we couldn’t have picked a better venue! We knew we wanted to have an outdoor feel to our wedding and after a tricky search for fields to rent we found Alcott farm and it was just perfect! Not only do you get a lovely venue: a big open space with a backdrop of rolling hills and a lake, which looks great all lit up in the evening, but also the knowledge and advice from Lucy. Lucy was so friendly, helpful and organised from the off. She has a selection of really great trusted suppliers, from marquees & tipis to catering, lighting & events which gave us choice that some venues don’t offer, so we were able to tailor our day to be exactly how we wanted it. We were also able to stay in some luxury bell tents on site on our wedding night, which made our day last that little bit longer. The onsite B&B is great too for family & friends to stay in, with a delicious breakfast the next morning!

We originally booked our 2020 wedding at Alcott which unfortunately couldn't go ahead due to Covid. Lucy is worth her weight in gold! She sorted out rearranging our date to 2021, keeping as cool and calm as ever. Our circumstances have since changed which lead to cancelling our booking altogether but again Lucy has been brill. Her communication is excellent, nothing is ever too much trouble, she coordinates suppliers seamlessly, and was so understanding to our decision to cancel. Going to start with the amazing venue; we had the most amazing day. Two years in the planning with the calmest, friendliest, and the most organised person in charge. We got to live out the crazy vision we had planned. Festivals all over the country cancelled. Not our Wedfest! With an amazing team we went ahead and lived our dream. Cutting, sucking and siphoning rain water with dad”s hose pipes, constant tipi checks, we had our dream day. With a surprise pizza delivery to our lodge to end our night.. Nothing is too much to ask even in a week of full bridezilla mode.

Throughout 2 days of severe weather warnings, we lived our dream and started married life, without a hitch. Complete calmness, professionalism and friendliness. The wind did not curtail our day and we loved every second of it. Guests have commented about how unique and perfect it was. We love love loved it.

Well where do we start……. A huge thank you for making our day so special. We cannot thank you enough for all your hard work, right from our very first meeting you were so organised, friendly and helpful. You thought of everything and guided us through the whole process. You met with us regularly and helped us keep on track when sometimes we dropped off a cliff with our organisation. We never realised when we first started on our wedding journey how much would be involved, and we could never have done it without you. You not only gave us recommendations but also helped us with bar services, security, a Tens licence and our order of the day. You met with all our big suppliers and helped to guide the process during every meeting, which without you we would have felt totally out of our depth.

On the day your input was priceless, Paul could not speak highly enough of you that morning, you supported and guided all of our suppliers and as the forecast was rain we were unable to put out some of the things such as gift box, guest book etc however you did this all for him and gave him the reassurance and confidence to leave that morning knowing it was all in safe hands. During the reception you were that good we hardly noticed you seamlessly organising everyone including us and helping the ushers to organise our guests. All the guests commented on how professional you were and how the day ran like clockwork. Even our photographer (who has done many weddings) asked for your details so that they could recommend you to others, and I think that speaks volumes.

We cannot honestly put into words how grateful and lucky we were to have found you. You made our day so calm, organised and without you we would never have been able to create our dream wedding.

Lucy at Alcott saved our wedding!We had planned a whole festival themed wedding outdoors with marquees, fairground games, pizzas, etc. Then, 6 months before the wedding, we found out that we couldn’t use the field that we had planned it all on!Luckily, I found Alcott Wedding & Events and emailed Lucy straight away, and our date was available! Lucy was so understanding and helpful throughout the whole process of moving our whole wedding to a different venue. She really reassured both of us that it was going to be an amazing day! The site is absolutely beautiful! In a lot of ways we are so glad that the disaster happened because Alcott was so much better than where we had planned the day before – it just wouldn’t have been the same.

Lucy worked closely with all of the suppliers that we had hired, and recommended some of her own trusted ones for things we hadn’t yet sorted. It all worked out perfectly, all of the suppliers set up quickly and easily, which let us get on with the decorating!

They also have loads of facilities at Alcott which are all beautiful – some of our groomsmen stayed in the Bed & Breakfast, which was super convenient as they only had to walk across a field at the end of the night. We can’t wait to see the photos because we know the scenery was so lovely that they will look gorgeous!

We wanted a relaxed festival feeling wedding and as soon as we met Lucy and saw the field we were completely sold on it. It’s beautiful and you feel like you’re so far away from Birmingham (even though it’s conveniently close). Lucy and her suppliers were all absolutely amazing and the right balance of organised and laid back. We had so many people say it was the best wedding they’d been to- the food , the tipi, the venue, the toilets were all fantastic- we wouldn’t have changed anything. The events manager on the day, nick, was also incredible, anything we needed he was there to help us. We couldn’t recommend Alcott enough!

Alcott Weddings was the first and only venue we viewed when we decided to get married. It’s a beautiful ‘blank canvas’ on which we were able to create our perfect day. Lucy was extremely helpful and had many useful contacts and suggestions for all our needs and queries, which we really appreciated. She was on hand to help with planning, set up and tidy up and made our lives very easy.

We came across Alcott Farm at the end of 2015 through their website. After reading some great reviews, we arranged a meeting with Lucy at Christmas and we were put at ease straight away. Meeting over a friendly cuppa, we were able to get our date booked in.

The farm, lake and fields really speak for themselves- set in beautiful surroundings we were hooked straight away. We knew what wedding we were wanting from the outset and chatting through our ideas with Lucy, we realised she was going to help as much as possible to make our dream a reality.

Throughout the following year, we were guided with suppliers, sent recommendations for us to look into and we continued to receive friendly emails to see if there was any more that Lucy could help us with. We looked into additional suppliers and Lucy couldn’t have been more accommodating, speaking with them to make sure it would all work ok on the day. All of this really helped to make the build up to the wedding so much easier.

The wedding weekend soon flew round and throughout the whole time, Lucy and her team were at hand and on site, meeting with our suppliers and helping set the venue up. Our families and bridesmaids were welcomed and settled into their rooms on the evening before, along with all of us being cooked a fab breakfast each morning at a time to suit. On the Sunday, it was all hands on deck for the clear down and Lucy and her team were with us all the way.

To be able to say that the only nerves in the build up to the wedding was whether the weather was going to be on our side, we couldn’t recommend booking your wedding at Alcott farm enough.
